About Safe Line Tire & Auto Repair

Safe Line Tire & Auto Repair is one of the tire shops listed in Norwalk, Connecticut. The business is registered at 219 Main St, Norwalk, CT 06851; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip.

Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 7:30 am–5:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Safe Line Tire & Auto Repair at (203) 845-8828; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 54 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded tire shops in Norwalk.

Norwalk is in Connecticut, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Norwalk is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Connecticut's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I’ve been to this place about three times. Excellent work. I would suggest calling them before going anywhere else. And they’re nice people.

Spoke to Rob on the phone, immediately felt comfortable given how friendly and helpful he was. Came in the morning, quick and easy was out 30 mins later with my wheels aligned and a full explanation of work done.

I can't recommend Rob at Safe Line Tire highly enough! I was in a tough spot and needed help on short notice, and Rob went above and beyond throughout the entire process. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and made me feel at ease from the moment I called. I needed several parts from Volkswagen, and Rob took the initiative to contact them directly, check availability, and put together an estimate for me within just a few hours. His communication was excellent, and he made what could have been a stressful situation feel simple and manageable. It's rare to find someone who genuinely cares about helping customers the way Rob does. Because of his outstanding service, Safe Line Tire has earned a customer for life. I'll definitely be returning for any future tire needs or car repairs. I didn't get the mechanics name but he spoke with me and was also so friendly and informative, which can be rare. Highly recommended!

Without a doubt the best place in Norwalk and the surrounding areas to take your car. First you won’t find three nicer people to do business with then Rob, Dave and Ben. All three are talented, experienced and just plane gentlemen and a pleasure to work with. I’ve never had to go back for something that was missed even though mistakes do happen. Also no matter how busy they are they never seem to want to leave you stranded under any circumstance. And their prices are as fair or better then the competition. I would highly recommend this establishment and the three great guys who work there.
